Kimberly Ann (Kim) of Asheville, NC., passed away peacefully on January 27, 2023, at the age of 63.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Vee Greene of Valparaiso, FL., Grand Parents John and Barshie Arnett of Knoxville, TN, and Guthrie (“Bud”) and Blanche Smith of Spenser, NC also deceased special Aunt and Uncle JB and Polly Arnett of Mobile, AL and Knoxville, TN and first cousins Tim Bible (Morristown, TN) and Edward Nichols (Colorado).  In addition, her beloved Brother-In-Law, Bryant M. McCarthy, preceded her in death (2020), she was so instrumental in helping Kelly care for him daily, the last 6 months of his life.

Kim was married 3 times but, her only true husband was Randy Pate, of Springfield, IL., also deceased.

Kim is survived by her sister, Kelly McCarthy of Hendersonville, NC along with special girlfriends, Laurie Pelegrina (Niceville, FL) Sarah Gross (Fort Walton Beach, FL) and Beverly (Very sorry we don’t remember your last name).

Kim loved horses and showed English Style, in many Hunter-Jumper classes, for several years.  Among several different job opportunities, Kim worked as a CNA in the health care field and as a Hair Stylist for several years. She was fun, kind, caring, helpful and generous to a fault.  Her sister, Kelly, who she lived with at various times throughout her life, will so greatly miss her and states, “Kim had great “faith” and was not afraid of death.  She was a spicy “Redhead”; a beautiful person inside and out, a great storyteller and dearly loved to laugh.”

Excerpt from the song:

“The Garden” by Jimmy Scott

“If tears could build a stairway

And memories a lane

We’d walk right up to heaven

And bring you back again.”

“It broke our hearts to loose you

But, you did not go alone

For part of us went with you

The day God called you home.”

“God looked around his garden

And he found an empty place

Then he looked down upon the earth

And he saw your precious face”

“He put his arms around you

And He lifted you to rest

God’s garden must be beautiful

He always takes the best

Yes He always takes the best”

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”  2 Timothy 4:7
