Andrew Charles Hollifield, age 64, of Spruce Pine, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital. He was born on November 29, 1961, in Spruce Pine, where he remained a lifelong resident.

Andrew was a 1980 graduate of Mitchell High School, where he proudly played basketball. Known for his strong work ethic, he spent his career working in construction as an electrician and plumber, lending his skills to several companies over the years and helping countless people along the way.

A private person by nature, Andrew was deeply compassionate and had a true heart of gold. He never sought attention for himself, but Andrew would quietly step in to help anyone in need. He found joy in simple pleasures — fishing, watching ball games, and spending time close to home in the Spruce Pine area. He was also a member of Grassy Creek Baptist Church.

Andrew is survived by his brother, Gregory Hollifield, and his wife, Beverly; his niece, Natalie Williams, and her husband, Daron, and their children, Jacee, Jentsen, and Janna; his niece, Drew Hollifield, and her daughter, Sutton; and his nephew, Steffan Hollifield, and his wife, Shareece, and their children, Deakon and Hyland. He is also survived by special friends Randy Hall and Tim Buchanan, and by his best friend in the world, Jerry Waycaster.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Lucille Hollifield.

In accordance with Andrew’s wishes, a private service will be held at a later date.

The care of Mr. Hollifield has been entrusted to A Simple Cremation in Candler, NC.
