Antoinette Morris, of Morganton, NC, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Swannanoa Valley Rehabilitation in Swannanoa, NC. Affectionately known as “Toni,” she will be greatly missed.

Toni was born on October 11, 1967, in Camden, New Jersey, to Robert and Lucille Morris. She grew up in Pennsauken, New Jersey. It was at First Baptist Church in Merchantville, New Jersey, where Toni also worked as a preschool teacher.

Toni later moved to Asheville, NC with her mom, dad, and sister, where she met her fiancé of 23 years, Jeffery Menzo. She and Jeffery loved to hike, and she especially loved her dogs. Toni enjoyed riding on their Harley and always looked forward to the Toys for Tots run they participated in each year. She also adored spending time with her sister, as well as with her niece and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Morris; grandfathers, William Morris and Leonardo Morlino; grandmothers, Agnes Morris and Elizabeth Morlino; aunt, Sandra Cole; and uncle, Johnny Cole.

Toni is survived by her fiancé, Jeffery Menzo; her mother, Lucille Morris; her sister, Kathy Shelton, and brother-in-law, Christopher Shelton; nephew, Christopher Shelton; nephew, Johnathon Morris, and wife, Stephanie; niece, Savannah Birtch; great-nephew, Zane Morris; and great-niece, Willow Morris. She is also survived by her beloved dogs, Munchkin and Rosie.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Swannanoa Valley Rehabilitation for the excellent care they provided. Toni’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
