Beth Metzker, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away on December 30th, 2025.
Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, Beth spent much of her life in Indian Trail, North Carolina, where she resided with her husband, Willard “Bill” Metzker. Together they shared nearly 42 years of marriage, they created a life centered on family. Beth was a proud and devoted mother to her daughters, Amy Metzker and Emily Ross, and a loving mother-in-law to Adam Ross. Her greatest joy came from her role as “Grandma” to her four grandchildren—Natalie, Osanna, Annika, and Kaomi—whom she adored deeply and unconditionally. Time spent with them was her greatest treasure, and her love for them was evident in everything she did.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence McRae; her mother, Patsy Kye; her brother, Mark Mullis; and her sister, Beverly Combs.
Beth had a true gift for gardening and was known by family and friends for her green thumb. She found peace and happiness surrounded by flowers, plants, and nature, especially birds. Cardinals held a special place in her heart, as she often believed they were loved ones visiting from heaven—small reminders of enduring connections and love beyond this life.
She also expressed her love through cooking, finding joy in preparing meals for those she cared about most. Her homemade spaghetti and pot roast were beloved family favorites.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 23rd at 1:30 p.m. at Charlotte Memorial Gardens, located at 7632 Hood Road, Charlotte, North Carolina.
