Obituary

Danielle Grace Ciaramitaro went to be with Jesus on April 18, 2026.

Born on Saturday, June 9, 1984, in Edenton, Chowan County, North Carolina, Danielle was the beloved daughter of Thomas and Susan Ciaramitaro. She spent her early years in Eastern North Carolina and later made her home in Flat Rock, North Carolina.

Danielle pursued her calling with dedication and faith, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Studies from Roanoke Bible College and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in May 2024. Over the course of 16 years, she faithfully served in various churches as a youth pastor, pouring into the lives of young people with compassion and wisdom. Most recently, she worked as a licensed counselor at Mary Benson House in Asheville, North Carolina, where she continued her ministry of care and encouragement.

Danielle had a vibrant personality and a deep love for life’s simple joys. She enjoyed watching a good TV series, was adept with technology, and loved to travel—finding as much joy in the journey as in the destination. She never missed the chance to stop at a Buc-ee’s along the way. Danielle also loved playing games, sharing laughter with family and friends, and cheering on Duke basketball. Known for her great sense of humor, she brought lightness and warmth to those around her. One of her greatest joys was spending time in the kitchen, preparing meals and creating memories with those she loved.

She is survived by her loving parents, Tom and Sue Ciaramitaro of Hendersonville, North Carolina; her sister Nicole Behuniak, her husband Ross, and their sons Luca and Leo of Hendersonville; her sister Natalie Heatherly, her husband Joshua, and their daughters Scarlett and Scotty of Etowah; and her sister Alianna Ciaramitaro of Hendersonville.

Danielle will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her. Her faith, kindness, and joyful spirit leave a lasting legacy.
