Devon Clair McNeal

Devon Clair McNeal, 51, passed away September 8th, 2023 in Arden, NC.

Native of Apple Valley, CA, he was the son of Brenda and Ronald McNeal.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Millard Fillmore Chatwood and grandmother, Clara Catherine Chatwood.  He was an avid hunter, car enthusiast and enjoyed restoring old fans, lamps and other antiques.

He served in Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom when he was seventeen years old and also In Kuwait.  He returned to join the Army Reserves as a Captain after furthering his education. He returned home to Apple Valley to attend Victorville Community College, then on to the University of California/Riverside.  He continued his education at the University of New Mexico where received his Bachelor's Degree.  

He is survived by his parents, Brenda and Ronald McNeal, his Aunt Beverlie Hoffman and Uncle Paul Hoffman of St. Paris, Ohio; his uncle Robert McNeal and aunt Jean E. McNeal of Summerville, SC; and uncle David McNeal of Winchester, VA.  Services will be held for family and friends in California.
