Doris Pauline Green

Doris Pauline Green passed away on June 17, 2024 in Flat Rock, NC at the age of 83 from injuries from a fall about 24 days prior that she was unable to recover from. Doris was preceded in death by her mother and father, and her sister Barbara Green. Doris leaves behind her sister, Louise Marie Walker, and her brother, Douglas Miles Green. Doris was born on March 23, 1941 in Carbon, Pennsylvania to Bernice Alice (Borger) Green and Luther Miles Green. At birth, Doris had a lack of oxygen leading to brain damage which gave her the mind of a young child all her life. Nevertheless, she loved people, animals, puzzles, crafts, and her family. She always was inquiring about various family members and children and grandchildren of her siblings, and one knew a big hug and smile was coming your way whenever one would visit.

Most of Doris’s life was spent in the care of her mother and after her mother passed away, in the care of her sister, Louise. Many years of her life were also spent with her step-brother Calvin Stevens, who was fun loving and also mentally challenged. Doris lived in date sequence in the following locations: Palmerton, PA, Bethlehem, PA, Fort Myers, FL, Tampa, FL, Cave Springs, TN, Ooltewah, TN, Boynton Beach, FL, Fletcher, NC, and finally Mills River, NC where she spent the last about thirty-seven years of her life. Doris was a member of the Mills River Seventh-day Adventist Church and is now asleep in Jesus awaiting the resurrection.
