Janice Payne

Leicester - Janice King Payne, 78, of Leicester passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center.  A native of Madison County, NC, she was daughter of the late Riley and Cleone Teague King.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles McMinn; daughter, Jamie White and sister, Helen Rice.

Janice loved her many cats.  She also enjoyed beautiful flowers and gardening.

She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Hazel and her husband, Harold of Candler, June Caldwell of Maiden, NC and Jeanette Hitt and her husband, James of Greenville, SC; sister, Irene Teague along with her grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Piney Grove Church.
