Janice Marie Stone, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, will be remembered for the grace, kindness, and love she shared with those around her.

Janice was born in Reidsville, North Carolina, and grew up in Asheville, North Carolina. She was raised by her parents, Larry Wayne Stone and Jewel Darlene Stone. Family was at the heart of Janice’s life, and the love she had for those closest to her was evident in all that she did.

Janice worked in house cleaning and was a Christian who valued her faith. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including gardening, watching movies, listening to music, and swimming. She also loved her dog, Rebel.

Janice shared her life with her partner, Paul Michael Gordon. She was the mother to Krystal Marie Moffitt, Ashley Jean Mynatt, Paul Michael Mynatt, and Kayla Selion. Her children and grandchildren brought great joy to her life, and she treasured the time she spent with her family.

She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Tristan Haney, Lillian Moffitt, Jasmine Squire, and Miles Clement, along with her siblings Angie Stone, Tammie Robbins, aunt Linda Clark, as well as many other family members and dear friends.

Janice was preceded in death by her son, David Moffitt; her father, Larry Wayne Stone; her mother, Jewel Darlene Stone; and her grandmother, Blanche Caldwell.

Though she is no longer with us, Janice’s memory will live on through her family, the love she shared, and the many lives she touched. Her kindness, warmth, and love will never be forgotten.
