Pamela Kay
Smith
January 18, 1956 – April 5, 2026
Pamela Kay Smith, affectionately known as “Woman,” passed away on April 5, 2026.
Pamela was born on January 18, 1956, in Asheville, North Carolina, to Cecil Hoyt Smith and Hazel Merleen Warren. She grew up alongside her sister, Merleen, in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina and remained a lifelong resident of Candler.
Pamela had a deep love for animals, football, and, most of all, spending time with her cherished family and friends. She was known for her appreciation of music, her kind and generous heart, and her wonderful sense of humor. Always willing to lend a helping hand, Pamela touched the lives of many and will be remembered with great affection. Above all, she will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and aunt.
Pamela is survived by her daughter, Amber Brejack, and her husband, John Brejack; her grandson, Cole; and her nephews: Jeff McPeters and his wife, Linda; Jonathan McPeters and his wife, Michelle, along with their children, Krystal, Cora and Addie; and Aaron McPeters and his children, Colton and Paisley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Hazel Smith; her sister, Merleen McPeters; and her brother-in-law, George McPeters, to whom Merleen was married.
