Asheville, NC - Robert Byron Boettcher, 77, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2024 at John F. Keever Solace Center in Asheville.

 

Robert, known as Bob, was the son of the late Bryon Kurth Boettcher and Dorothy Edith Fink Boettcher.  He was born October 4, 1946.

 

Bob was an accomplished businessman and was involved in many projects and promotions for the city of Asheville.  He was the President of Price McNabb Advertising, Broker in charge/co-owner of Gatewood Boettcher Real Estate Agency, Broker in charge of Beverly Hanks Real Estate Agency, Broker in charge/co-owner Diamond Real Estate Agency.  He was also closely involved with the Asheville Chamber of Commerce, member of the Asheville Board of Realtors, President of the Asheville Board of Realtors (1 year), member of the Asheville Riverlink Project Board of Directors, member of the Country Club of Asheville, President of the Country Club of Asheville (2 years).  His interests included golfing, watching his favorite baseball team the Cincinnati Reds, and UNC Tar Heels basketball.

 

Bob is survived by his daughter and her husband, Laura and Steve Guarracino of Peachtree City, GA and their children Devyn and Davis, and his son and his wife Bradley and Kerri Boettcher of Asheville, NC and their son Robert. He is also survived by his sister and her husband Barbara Myers (Richard) of Raleigh, NC and their children and spouses with grandchildren: Cathy Carlino (Peter) with Olivia, Gabriella, and Sophia; Debbie Leonard (Chris) with Nicholas (Zena) and William; Doug Myers with Bella and Logan.

 

The immediate family will hold a very small private ceremony in Bob’s honor. We appreciate all your love and support.
