Sonya Carter Bentley

Sonya Bentley, 75, of Asheville, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday September 2^nd.

Sonya was a 1966 graduate of Enka High School and a 1968 graduate of A-B Tech. She loved teaching children and was a passionate Carolina Tar Heels Basketball fan.

Sonya was preceded in death by her husband Bob, her parents Wayne and Annie Lou Carter, brothers-in-law’s Terry and Bill, sister-in-law Frances, and other loved ones. She leaves behind her “special” grandchildren Kylie, Seth, Andrew, Garrett, and Paisley. As well as her sister Janet, brothers Neil (Lora) and Stan (Rebecca), sister-in-law Jean, several nieces and nephews, aunt’s cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of life will be held at the Wells Chapel of Faith located at Forest Lawn Memorial Park of Candler on Sunday September 17^th at 2pm followed by receiving of friends.

The care of Mrs. Bentley has been entrusted to A Simple Cremation.
