Stuart Bragg
Harmon
Sep 6, 1967 — Jul 8, 2026
Stuart "Stu" Bragg Harmon passed away having lived life exactly as he believed it should be lived—with enthusiasm, generosity, laughter, and an open heart.
Born in Tupelo, Mississippi, Stu was raised by his loving parents, Barry and Caroline Harmon, alongside his siblings, Chris and Kelly Harmon. A proud native of Tupelo, he graduated from Tupelo High School before attending the University of Mississippi ("Ole Miss"), where he earned his undergraduate degree in 1989 and his law degree in 1992.
Following law school, Stu built a successful career as an attorney, practicing law from 1992 until 2014. Later, his passion for serving others led him into nonprofit work, where he dedicated himself from 2018 until 2026, continuing to make a positive impact on the lives of those around him.
Above all, Stu's greatest pride was his family. He is lovingly survived by his three daughters, Avery Watson, Brooke Harmon, and Kelsey Harmon, all born on August 22, 1997. They were the joy of his life, and he cherished every opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments and share in their lives.
Stu embraced life to its fullest. He had an infectious energy that naturally drew people to him and brightened every room he entered. He loved traveling, gathering family and friends together, listening to music, cheering on the New Orleans Saints, and organizing games and celebrations that created lasting memories. He had an unmistakable sense of style, always enjoying the chance to dress well and bring a little extra flair to every occasion.
Whether planning the next adventure, curating the perfect gathering, or simply making someone laugh, Stu had a remarkable gift for helping others feel welcome and valued. His appreciation for music, vibrant colors, and good company reflected the joy with which he approached every day.
Stu also leaves behind his beloved wire-haired Vizsla, Ziggy Marley, a faithful companion who shared many adventures by his side.
Those who knew Stu will remember his warmth, his generosity, his unmistakable laugh, and his ability to make ordinary moments feel like celebrations. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched and in the love he leaves with his family and friends.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
The care of Stu was entrusted to A Simple Cremation, in Candler, North Carolina.
