Thomas Willis Meadows, 64, passed away on November 15, 2024, at Mission Hospital in Buncombe County, North Carolina. He was born November 5, 1960, in Haywood County, to the late Thomas Meadows and Sandra Moore Jordan.
Thomas was an individual who cherished his family deeply. He took great joy in spending time with those loved and made countless memories that will be treasured forever. His interests were as varied as they were unique; he was a devoted collector of GI Joe memorabilia, also found delight in the expansive universe of Star Trek. His enthusiasm for these interests showed a youthful spirit that many admired and appreciated. Additionally, he was known for his engagement in the digital realm, often immersing himself in computer games that showcased his competitive nature and love for strategy. Beyond his hobbies, Thomas proudly served as a Mason, a commitment that reflected his values of integrity, community service, and brotherhood. This involvement was indicative of his character, as he often sought ways to contribute positively to the world around him. He will be remembered not only for his interests but also for the warmth he brought to all who knew him. He touched many lives with his kindness and genuine spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, with cherished memories held dear by his family and friends. Thomas will be immensely missed, and his contributions to family and community will forever be remembered.
He is survived by his wife Julia, son Robert (Mary Kate) Meadows of Asheville; daughter, Julia (Cole) Johnson of Charlotte; brothers, Steve (Leanne) Meadows, Tim (Leanna) Meadows, Chris Southerland; granddaughter, Zoe Meadows and soon to be grandson Miles Vaughn Johnson; four nephews, Stephen, Keith, Preston, Clayton, and two nieces, Stephanie and Katie
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
