Thomas A Dobbs, (TAD), 68, passed away Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022, at Care Partners Solace Center in Asheville North Carolina. A native of Muncie, Indiana, he was son of the Thomas D. Dobbs and Mary Jane Bryan Swift. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Mike Hipskind and his special girlfriend, Alicia Simonsson.
He is survived by his sons, Dustin (Samantha) Dobbs of Fairview, NC, and Dylan (Allison) Dobbs of Candler, NC; granddaughters, Rylea-Ann Dobbs and Charleston Dobbs; brother, Jeff Dobbs of Muncie, Indiana; sister, Debbie Hipskind of Fowlerton, Indiana, Angie (Tim) Glass-Bon of Secour, Alabama, Tonya (Danny) Siders of Louisville, Kentucky and Rhonda (Chris) Badger-Soddy of Daisy, Tennessee; several Nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a special nephew Austin Nelson who helped take care of TAD while in Indiana and a special friend, Angie Williams who shared the load with Austin.
Thomas graduated from Eastbrook High School in Marion, Indiana. He was attending Ball State University in Muncie Indiana before moving to Asheville, North Carolina with a friend. After living there for several years, he returned to Indiana. He worked many years at Parts Unlimited in Asheville. He enjoyed making jewelry and reading war novels. The son, brother, father and friend that was always there, he adored his sons more than anything. After being diagnosed with cancer he returned to Asheville to live out the rest of his days with his two boys. Dylan and Dustin Dobbs.
A memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 11th 2022, from 3pm-6pm at Fowlerton Park, 200 N. Cleveland Street, Fowlerton Indiana.
A Simple Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
