Thomas Lewis

On Saturday, December 7, 2019, Lt. Colonel USMC retired Thomas Earl Lewis passed away at age 82 at home in the arms of his family in Pisgah Forest, NC.

Tom is survived by his wife of 58 years, Glenda; son, Tommy Lewis; daughter, April Knight; sister, Norma Irvin; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family that love him dearly.

A special thank you to Dr. Shane Foster, Dr. James Usedom, Dr. James Kelling, Transylvania County Care Partners and Hospice for their loving care and support during his final days.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Biltmore Church Terrace Hall at 35 Clayton Road, Arden, NC 28704. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the Service at 11:00 AM. There will also be a Graveside service at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery at 896 Old US 70 Hwy.,Black Mountain, NC, 28711 at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Transylvania County Hospice, Biltmore Church of Arden, NC, or your favorite charity.
